The project explored the potential of integrating an ICT-based self-assessment instrument and group coaching as part of PD-programmes for (aspiring) school leaders in the participating countries. Based on an already existing and tested German version, the project developed and contextually adapted the instrument in nine different countries.
The two overall aims of the project were as follows:
- To develop needs-oriented CPD programmes, which will promote reflection and personal leadership development and which focus on improving the participants’ motivation, competencies and actions with respect to school leadership
- To develop knowledge about the role of self-assessment and group coaching methods in CPD that will influence the way CPD is conceptualised and delivered to participants
